Peptide drugs - drugs of the XXI century
The Scientific and Educational Charitable Foundation "Young Hippocrates" announces the Second International Competition among young scientists and specialists: "Peptide drugs - drugs of the XXI century".
The purpose of the Competition is to identify the best scientific works among doctors and young scientists of higher medical educational institutions and research institutions of the Russian Federation and CIS countries in the following medical specialties:
• neurology
• ophthalmology
• pediatrics and neonatology
The competition will be held for 6th-year students, interns, clinical residents, postgraduates of medical universities, researchers of research institutions of the Russian Federation and CIS countries under the age of 35 alone or as part of an author's team.
The Competition accepts works related to the practical use of unique domestic drugs Cortexin and Retinalamine, as well as research work on the effectiveness of new domestic peptide drugs.
The term of the Competition: from November 1, 2008 to November 1, 2010.
According to the results of the Competition, the authors of the works who won prizes in each specialty will be awarded Diplomas of the winner and cash prizes.
The winners of the Young Hippocrates Contest will be awarded a cash prize in the amount of:
I place - 150,000 rubles
II place - two prizes of 100,000 rubles
III place - three prizes of 50,000 rubles
For the first time, a special subprogram to support young doctors and scientists was allocated within the framework of the Competition: "Peptides - from research to medicines".
Since 2008, the range of activities of the Foundation has been expanding through the use of new mechanisms to support projects in the field of experimental medicine. Within the framework of the subprogram, a competition for applications for grants in the following areas is announced:
- Conducting clinical trials on the use of domestic peptide preparations
- Support of initiative research projects for the development of new peptide drugs
- Travel grants and support for participation in conferences
- Publishing projects.
