Grants for postgraduate studies in natural sciences in Germany (SALSA program)
A division of Humboldt University in Berlin, The Graduate School of Analytical Sciences Adlershof (SALSA), announces the acceptance of applications for participation in the scholarship program for postgraduate studies (doctoral fellowships) in chemistry, biology, physics, natural sciences.
The program, starting on April 1, 2014, will offer 15 scholarships for postgraduate study to specialists with a master's degree (or its equivalent) in the field of analytical disciplines. The fellows have been participating in interdisciplinary research in the natural sciences for three years.
The scientific supervision of the work of the scholarship holder will be carried out by specialists from the Humboldt University of Berlin in collaboration with employees of the Technical University of Berlin, the University of Potsdam, the Higher Technical School of Zurich, the German Research Institute of Materials Science, etc.
One of the conditions for participation in the program is a sufficient level of English language proficiency. The minimum score for the TOEFL internet-based test (TOEFL iBT) is 95, the score for IELTS is 6.5. Knowledge of German is not a requirement for participation in the program, however, if the applicant speaks German, he can attach the certificates he has to the documents.
Applications for participation in the program are accepted online until November 4, 2013.
