The acceptance of applications for the International Prize is open
in the field of nanotechnology – Rusnanoprize

Rusnanoprize is the largest international specialized award in the field of nanotechnology. The prize is awarded annually to researchers and developers for scientific and technological developments and inventions introduced into mass production with an annual volume of at least $ 10 million.

The award was established in 2009 by the State Corporation "Russian Nanotechnology Corporation" (Rusnano), one of the world's largest investment companies in the innovation field.

The award is designed to promote:

• wide public recognition of achievements in the field of development, practical application and introduction of nanotechnology into production;
• the process of international cooperation in the field of nanotechnology;
• public recognition of the role of individual scientists-developers and companies that have implemented developments in the field of nanotechnology;

The award is awarded on an annual basis in one of the following areas:

• optics and electronics;
• nanomaterials and surface modification;
• medicine, pharmacology and biotechnology;
• energy efficiency and "green" technologies.

The theme of the 2012 Prize is medicine, pharmacology and biotechnology.

The monetary part of the Award will amount to 3 million rubles.

Inventors, scientists and developers (no more than three people in total) who are the authors of scientific and technological developments or developments in the direction of awarding the Prize in this year, which were introduced into mass production, are awarded with a cash prize, an award symbol, an Honorary diploma and a badge of the laureate.

A company that has introduced this development (developments) into mass production for the first time or has achieved maximum commercial success through the introduction of this development (developments) is awarded an Honorary Diploma and an award symbol of the Award.
