Scientific Community in Russian

On January 28, 2009, the scientific social network Scientific Social Community launched services for Russian scientists.

The key tools of this social network, such as "Grant Search", "Postgraduate study", "Scientific vacancies", "Conferences", "Search for Scientists" were supplemented with information from the Russian scientific community.

Thanks to this, a platform containing a large amount of relevant scientific information - search for funding and grants, postgraduate studies, young specialists and scientific vacancies, conducting joint experiments – which is interesting and important for scientists of all post–Soviet states, apparently appeared for the first time on the Runet.

"Science cannot be limited to one country. The contribution of each country is important and valuable for the development of world science.  However, despite the enormous contribution of Russian scientists, until now there has not been a convenient social network that solves the problems of their search for diverse scientific information.

Scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Germany, France and other European countries cooperate with each other, jointly publish in leading scientific journals.

Therefore, the need for a unified scientific social network for scientists, primarily in the post–Soviet space, is obvious," said Evgeny Melezhik, project manager of Scientific Social Community.

"Grants, postgraduate studies, scientific vacancies, information about the developments of various institutes – this information is very important for the development of science, but it is scattered and scattered across various sources. We see this Community not only as a meeting place for scientists from different countries, but also as a convenient means to search for important scientific information, which currently has no analogues in Runet," said project administrator Andrey Kleshchonok.
"The contribution of scientists from different countries is important for the development of world science. We would like the scientific tools of our social network to be useful to each of them," commented project administrator Roman Zaitsev.

All social network services for scientists http://www.science-community.org / are completely free, and to access them, it is enough to go through a quick registration.
