Skolkovo Innovation Award

On December 6, the acceptance of applications for the competition for the Skolkovo Innovation Award with the support of Cisco I-PRIZE began. The prize fund of the competition, which can strengthen the position of Russia as a center for creating innovative ideas, is 5,250,000 rubles (the first prize is 3 million rubles, the second -1.5 million, the third – 750,000). The winners will be able to use them as investments for the practical implementation of their ideas.

The competition is designed to attract talented specialists and ideas that can give rise to startups that could potentially work in the Skolkovo Innovation Center.

Entrepreneurs, scientists, students and technical specialists at least 18 years old who are able to offer innovative ideas in the field of energy conservation, healthcare and information technology, who are citizens of the Russian Federation and permanently residing in Russia, are invited to participate in the competition.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until the end of the day on February 15, 2011. All ideas will be evaluated by a competent jury according to the following criteria: market potential, originality and creativity, compliance with the conditions of the Russian and world markets, the probability of successful application. The results of the competition will be announced on the twentieth of April 2011.
