The Startup of the Year Award is one of the main events in the world of innovative technologies – an annual event where the best companies and teams are encouraged in several categories. This is another chance to show yourself in the best light in front of the business community, enlist the support of experts and investors and take with you the symbol of the Startup of the Year award - the golden apple.

This year we have changed a little externally, but the level of projects that will compete for the honor of being awarded the Prize will remain unchanged. Traditionally, a high level of organization will be provided by the HSE Business Incubator team, with the support of RVC and DNPPiP.

This year, the composition of the nominations has changed. Please note that Internet projects have been allocated to a separate category.

Is it possible and necessary for you to apply for the Award? If you have worked hard, and now it's time to declare yourself and your project, make interesting acquaintances, meet potential investors and find new clients, then the Award is what you need. It is here that, at the end of the year, various types of entrepreneurial activity, fresh ideas and star stories are concentrated on one platform.

For a more objective and impartial assessment of young companies
The awards will be presented in several categories:

• The best technology startup is a startup that has built a business based on the most promising technology.
• The best Internet startup is a company whose activities are carried out only on the Internet.
• Opening of the Year / Quick Start is a company founded in 2013, and has shown the most rapid development and growth.
• A socially significant startup is a company whose activities are aimed at solving socially significant problems.
• A global startup is a startup operating in markets outside of Russia.
• Team of the Year is the best startup market team of 2013. The nomination is awarded with the support of PRUFFI.

The finalists of the Startup of the Year Award 2013 will be published on November 20. And in December, a solemn award ceremony will be held, at which the names of the winners of the Startup of the Year Award 2013 will be announced. They will receive all the attention of the press, the jury, investors and potential customers, special prizes from sponsors and partners, as well as the coveted Golden Apple – the symbol of the Award.

All finalists at the ceremony should not relax, as they will also have to compete for the audience award. The winner in the nomination "The best startup in the opinion of the audience" will be selected by popular vote during the event.
