Thanks to the Internet

FIU and Rostelecom hold the III All-Russian competition "Thanks to the Internet 2017"

Representatives of the older generation of Internet users (50+) who have learned to work on a computer and on the Network both independently and at specialized computer courses can become participants of the competition, the purpose of which is to popularize learning to work on the Internet.

  • My Internet achievements;
  • Internet entrepreneur, Internet employer;
  • Internet local historian;
  • Internet traveler.

Entries are accepted from April 19 to October 9, 2017, the results of the competition are planned to be summed up by the end of October 2017.

To take part in the competition, you must submit an application for participation on the website, attaching your competitive work – an essay in accordance with the nominations of the competition and photos. The winners will be determined by the Competition Commission, which includes representatives of Rostelecom, the Pension Fund of Russia, the Ministry of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Russian Association of Electronic Communications and the Regional Public Center for Internet Technologies.

The first All-Russian contest "Thanks to the Internet" was held in 2015. More than 2 thousand works were sent to the competition from 78 regions of the Russian Federation, as well as from the Republic of Armenia. More than 2 thousand representatives of the older generation of Internet users became participants of the competition. The oldest participant was 92 years old. The Krasnoyarsk Territory became the winner in the nomination "The most active region": more than 10% of all works submitted to the competition were received from Krasnoyarsk pensioners.

More than 3 thousand applications have already been received for the second competition in 2016. The winner in the nomination "The most active region" this time was the Republic of Tatarstan, from where more than 14.7% of the works were received.

The contest is held within the framework of the charity project "Abc of the Internet".

Recall that the training manual and the Internet portal "ABC of the Internet" were developed within the framework of the agreement signed in 2014 between the FIU and PJSC Rostelecom on cooperation in teaching computer literacy to pensioners. The purpose of this cooperation is to facilitate pensioners' access to public services electronically via the Internet and to improve the quality of life through computer literacy and Internet work.
