The best innovative product of St. Petersburg
The Committee on Industrial Policy and Innovation is holding a contest "The Best Innovative Product" for the St. Petersburg Government Award.
The award was established in order to popularize innovation activities in the city, expand traditional and form new markets for demand for innovative products of industrial entities, create high-tech jobs and further develop industrial production in St. Petersburg.
In 2016, the award will be held in 4 nominations:
- Construction, housing and communal services and composite (polymer) materials.
- Mechanical engineering and power engineering.
- Information technologies and radio electronics.
- Medicine, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
The prize is awarded by the Government of St. Petersburg on the basis of the decision of the competition commission, adopted following the results of an open competition. The competition commission consists of specialists with scientific and practical experience in the relevant fields.
Organizations registered on the territory of St. Petersburg and engaged in the production and sale of innovative products can take part in the competition.
The final of the competition will be held on September 15, 2016 at the site of the Import Substitution and Localization Center in St. Petersburg.
The winners will be awarded within the framework of the IX St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum, September 21, 2016, Expoforum.
The approximate application period is July 2016. Currently, the preparation of applications of the participants of the competition is underway.

The prize fund of the contest is 6,250,000 (six million two hundred and fifty thousand) rubles.
Organizations that took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the categories "Construction, housing and communal services and composite (polymer) materials"; "Medicine, Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals"; "Information Technology and Radio Electronics" will receive cash prizes in the amount of: 1,000,000 (one million), 350,000 (three hundred and fifty thousand) and 200,000 (two hundred thousand) rubles, respectively.
Organizations that took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the nomination "Mechanical Engineering and Energy" will receive cash prizes in the amount of: 1,000,000 (one million), 400,000 (four hundred thousand) and 200,000 (two hundred thousand).
