We answer children's questions

Just about complicated

It is known that the most difficult questions are children's, and this is not accidental. If one phrase cannot express the meaning or idea of the most complex work, then the author of this idea probably does not fully understand it himself. It is a special talent to correctly explain complex things in simple words. It should be possessed not only by scientific journalists and outstanding lecturers and speakers, but also by scientists themselves – creators of new ideas and discoveries who have an important mission: to multiply the scientific fraternity with new talents.

Now science is getting younger and, fortunately, the most interesting works in Russia and around the world are created by talented young people – students, postgraduates, young scientists who remember their first "children's" questions to mentors well and are ready to share their experience with those who may be just preparing to become them.

That is why the Elevator to the Future program and Lomonosov Moscow State University are organizing and announcing the launch of a new, unique competition "Just about Difficult" for students, postgraduates, young scientists to popularize their own scientific ideas and the ideas of the scientific groups in which they work, as well as for novice scientific journalists – popularizers modern scientific knowledge. In 2013, the competition is held as part of the All-Russian Science Festival.

The purpose of the competition is to support students, postgraduates, young scientists who publish the results of their research activities in leading scientific journals, as well as novice journalists engaged in the popularization of science.

Details can be found in the section of the website "Elevator to the future" dedicated to the program "Just about complicated".
