Young. Audacious. Promising

The Committee on Science and Higher Education of the Government of St. Petersburg announces the acceptance of applications for participation in the XI Contest of business ideas, scientific and technical developments and research projects among students, graduate students and young managers under the motto "Young. Audacious. Promising" (more – Competition).

The purpose of the Competition is to stimulate entrepreneurial and innovative activity of young people, to form a base of business ideas, projects and innovative developments for their further promotion, to form an environment conducive to the creation of sustainable contacts between young people and business process subjects.

Students, postgraduates, managers, entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30 are invited to participate in the Competition.

The competition is held in three categories: "Business ideas", "Scientific and technical developments", "Research projects". Three winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) are determined in each nomination.

Applications for the Competition are accepted from May 20, 2008 to September 15, 2008 inclusive. The authorized organization of the Competition is the Economic News Agency "RENA".

Applications for participation in the Competition are submitted electronically to the e-mail of the Authorized Organization es@itartass.spb.ru and they must contain the following documents: an applicant's application form, a certificate from the place of study or work, a project summary.

Criteria for evaluating competitive applications:Nomination "Business ideas": novelty, social significance, technical and financial feasibility, competitiveness.

Nomination "Scientific and technical developments": relevance and elaboration of the topic, the possibility of practical application in the national economy, competitiveness.
Nominations "Research projects": relevance of the topic, scientific novelty, practical significance, clarity and logical validity in setting goals, research objectives, independence of judgments, assessments and conclusions.
