Young nanotechnologists are invited to the competition
The second International competition of scientific works of young scientists in the field of nanotechnology will be held within the framework of the Second International Forum on Nanotechnology, held by the State Corporation "Russian Corporation of Nanotechnology" from October 6 to 8, 2009 at the Expocenter (Moscow).
The main goal of the competition is to attract the attention of the scientific and business community to the scientific achievements of young scientists in the field of nanotechnology.
Scientific papers carried out jointly with co-authors, in which the personal contribution of the contest participants themselves is decisive, are accepted for consideration.
Russian and foreign students, postgraduates and young professionals under the age of 30 inclusive are allowed to participate in the competition (at the time of application submission).
The content of scientific papers submitted for participation in the competition must correspond to the topics of the scientific and technological sections of the Forum. The paper should contain a clear formulation of the problem, its relevance, as well as scientific and practical value.
Applications for participation in the competition, abstracts of works in Russian and English and recommendations of scientific supervisors indicating the personal contribution of the contestant to the submitted work should be sent to the Directorate of the Forum by e-mail to rusnanoforum09@rusnano.com no later than 26.06.2009, with mandatory indication in the subject of the letter: "Application for participation in the Competition of scientific works of young scientists". At the end of the deadline for accepting applications for participation in the Competition, all received materials are sent for consideration to the relevant Commissions for the evaluation of scientific works. Based on the results of consideration by the Commissions, the list of works accepted for participation in the Competition will be published on the official website of the Forum no later than 08/14/2009.
The authors of the works accepted by the Commissions for participation in the competition will receive partial or full compensation for the costs associated with participation in the Forum: foreign participants may be exempt from paying the registration fee for participation in the Second International Forum on Nanotechnology and/or payment of accommodation; Russian participants – from paying the registration fee for participation in the Second International Forum on nanotechnology, payment for accommodation and/or travel.The award ceremony, at which the winners of the competition will be announced, will take place on the last day of the Forum (08.10.2009). The authors of the best works will be awarded honorary diplomas of the winners of the Competition, award badges of the winners of the Competition, as well as cash prizes*:
1st place – 50,000 rubles.
2nd place – 40,000 rubles .
3rd place – 30,000 rubles.
* When paying cash prizes, personal income tax is withheld at the rate of 13% for Russian citizens and at the rate of 30% for foreign citizens.
