A bite in the genitals, or the benefits of kissing

In the USA, the Nobel Prizes were awarded-2015

The USA awarded the Nobel Prizes for the most absurd scientific achievements, reports TASS. The award ceremony, awarded for non-standard ideas, was held at Harvard University (Massachusetts) in the USA. This award, also called the Antinobel Prize, is awarded "for achievements that first make you laugh, and then make you think." It was established in 1991 by the journal "Annals of Improbable Research" (Annals of Improbable Research – VM).

Since 1999, the prize has been awarded in 10 areas – some of the nominations coincide with the Nobel ones, the rest are established separately each year. At the same time, the winners receive awards from the hands of Nobel laureates of different years.

This year, an American scientist from Cornell University, Michael Smith, received two prizes at once – in the field of physiology and entomology, who found out which part of the human body bee stings cause the most severe pain. For his research, Smith allowed bees to bite him for 25 different body parts for several months. As a result, the scientist came to the conclusion that the most painful for a person are bites of the nose, upper lip and genitals.

The award in the field of medicine went to two groups of scientists who conducted a series of experiments in order to find out what biological consequences kissing leads to for the body. As it turned out, this pleasant activity allows you to achieve at least one positive effect – reducing the risk of skin allergies.

The literary Nobel Prize went to linguists from the Netherlands, who found out that an analogue of the English interrogative particle "huh?" (Russian "eh?") is available in each of the languages existing in the world. An American team of scientists from the state of Atlanta was awarded for their discovery, which proved that almost all mammals on Earth, regardless of their size, spend an average of 21 seconds on the process of urination.

A special prize was awarded to a professor from the University of Cambridge for his research, according to which top managers and businessmen who survived natural disasters in childhood are more likely to make risky decisions in the future. Another special prize went to the Bangkok Police Department, which offered its employees a substantial salary increase in exchange for a promise from their side not to take bribes.
