The court sentenced the creator of the pseudo-medical device "Deta"
S.Konopleva to five years probation

Ostankino court of Moscow sentenced Sergei Konoplev, who is the creator of the device "Deta", which allegedly helps to treat all known chronic diseases, to five years probation. This was reported to the Moscow City News Agency by the press service of the court.

"On the basis of Part 2 of Article 69 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, by partial addition, a sentence of five years in prison was finally imposed. On the basis of Article 73 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the sentence imposed is considered conditional with a probation period of five years," the agency interlocutor clarified.

According to her, the court also sentenced S. Konoplev's accomplice Tatiana Shcherbakova to 1.5 years in prison with a probation period of two years.

Police officers and employees of Roszdravnadzor, during the implementation of a set of measures to control the turnover of medicines and ensure the safety of life and health of Russian citizens, suppressed the facts of the sale of allegedly medical devices that are dangerous to the life and health of citizens. The activity of an interregional organized group was revealed, the participants of which produced and sold "medical" devices of "Deta". The devices were sold by attackers through retail pharmacy chains and various medical institutions. In addition, the sale of "universal devices for all known chronic diseases" was realized through a network marketing scheme known recently.

Psychological methods of persuasion of the consumer were used in the implementation of Deta devices through call centers. The participants of the criminal group presented themselves as highly qualified doctors, carried out diagnostics and "identified" non-existent diseases in citizens. During the conversation, employees of call centers offered "miracle devices" of Death" worth from 20 thousand rubles. The operators claimed the devices as the only possible remedy – the constant use of the proposed devices cures all existing diseases: infectious, oncological, mental disorders. However, as a result of the study, it was found that the "Deta miracle device" and its modifications cannot be used in medical practice in the territory of the Russian Federation, and are dangerous to the life and health of patients. At the same time, the group members received incomparable profit with the invested costs. According to preliminary estimates of operatives, the cost of one device was no more than 1 thousand rubles.

As a result of the measures taken, more than 20 thousand ready-to-sell false appliances, documents and other material evidence relevant to the investigation were seized.

The police also found that these products were provided with a full package of necessary documentation on the basis of falsified documents. The attackers provided each sold device with the conclusions of toxicological and metrological examinations, protocols of clinical and medical tests, the presence of a state registration certificate issued by the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation.
