Flavor "Michael Jackson", identical to natural

This is not a joke: foreign media have been writing about another advertising trick for several days. For example, in the article Perfume's heaven scent: New 'Antiquity' fragrances based on DNA of dead celebs in NYDailyNews. There, however, M. Jackson is the fourth number, and before that – E.Presley, A.Einstein and M.Monroe.

In Runet, the women's website "Stilemania" was the first to crow about the sensation:

A perfume based on Michael Jackson's DNA has been released

A new perfume has been released based on the musician's DNA. The authors of the fragrance claim that it preserves the natural smell of the musician. Perfume "M" in memory of Michael Jackson became one of the first in the line of Antiquity.
What is the flavor of "M"? This is stated vaguely in the advertisement: it consists of "the lightest, barely perceptible essences."
Along with him, the fragrances of other departed stars will soon appear on the shelves: Elvis Presley, Albert Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, Joan Crawford and Katharine Hepburn. On an individual order, you can also get a perfume based on the DNA of a private person, even if not at all famous. DNA samples were obtained from hair collected by collector John Reznikoff.
Perfume price: $59.99

And in the line "Antiquity" mentioned here – dozens of portraits of famous people both in the world and only in the USA – buy bottles with smells (and if you don't like it, try to prove that the person indicated on the label smelled completely different :)

The highest high-tech, recommendations of the best geneticists! So cool that they were able to reconstruct the personal body odors of deceased celebrities from mitochondrial DNA.

Now, I hope, it is clear that these fragrances are pure lime? Or it is necessary to explain that the individual smell depends on many factors, and from mtDNA – well, not a bit! Or at best – by 0.00000001%.

In the comments to the articles, readers frolic like children. But they will certainly buy these perfumes. I myself, perhaps, would not regret 60 American rubles for a bottle of Geronimo (his portrait is at the bottom and to the left of Einstein). I want to smell like a real Apache chief!
