From vegetarian cuisine to vegetarian water

Vegetarian water was invented in India

Alexey Stepanov, Factrum

An Indian household appliance company recently introduced the idea of "vegetarian water" in its advertising campaign in order to "reach" vegetarians with advertising, who predominate in the customer base of this company. This may seem absurd, but the company tried very hard to seem convincing. The advertisement claimed that their new product, the LifeStraw water purifier, gives out "only pure and vegetarian water."

"Pure vegetarian water? It must be a publicity stunt!" the newspaper ad says. And then it also explains why it's not a trick. "The manufacturers of most cleaners claim that their cleaners kill all viruses, germs and bacteria," the ad says. "However, the microorganisms killed by chemical means still remain in the water, as a result, the water becomes safe, but completely non-vegetarian. Because the consumption of dead creatures together with water is completely contrary to the principles of vegetarianism."

However, TTK Prestige has an excellent solution to this problem: a device with advanced multi-stage Swiss filtration technology, which is based on the creation of "non-electric gravity".

The device removes 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, and thus, the buyer receives "clean, safe and vegetarian water". The LifeStraw cleaner belongs to the category of the most innovative products of the company. It was created in the course of cooperation with the company "Lifestraw SA", which is considered the best manufacturer of water purifiers in Switzerland.

Fine, the new cleaner can filter out all microorganisms, preserving in drinking water all the minerals and trace elements necessary for a person, which, obviously, is what vegetarians want. But I wonder if vegetarians think that bacteria and microorganisms are part of the animal world? And if so, what about the millions of bacteria that already live in our bodies? Maybe vegetarians would like to kill and filter them out too?

The idea of "vegetarian water" may be unique, but I'm not entirely sure that vegetarians will buy it. What do you think?
