Yeti Research Institute

The Russian media spread another news on their tails – you want to laugh, and you want to cry: a research institute for the study of the "bigfoot", or, as they are also called, "yeti", will be created on the basis of Kemerovo State University.

This was stated on March 22 in an interview with ITAR-TASS by the director of the International Center for Hominology Igor Burtsev. "In Russia, about 30 reputable scientists are studying the phenomenon of the "bigfoot". All of them will be integrated into the institute being created," Burtsev is sure. According to the scientist, all the nuances have been agreed with the leadership of the region and the organizational stage has already begun.

According to the director of the center, the main tasks of the institute will include the study of the phenomenon, "establishing contact" with the hominid, conducting large-scale "field" research, as well as informing the population and "attracting students and tourists to search for the "bigfoot".

According to hominidologists, in the south of the Kemerovo region, in the Mountain Shoria, there is a fairly powerful population of "snowmen". "We don't have enough resources to study them in detail and get in touch with them. With the help of the Research Institute, we intend to attract serious scientific circles and research funding to the study. In particular, we need expensive laboratory studies of the DNA of the samples found," Burtsev explained.

Igor Burtsev will represent Russia at the International Summit on the Study of "snow" man, which will be held in Canada on April 9, the agency adds.

At the same time, most scientists around the world consider the study of the "snow" man a pseudoscience.

And the magazine "Expert" previously wrote that rumors about a snowman in the Kemerovo region are nothing more than a way to attract attention to the region. the authorities of which are actively trying to develop inbound tourism.

And on the video – without any "allegedly" – there is a genuine sound recording of a snowman's story about life in the mountains:

The next day, 23.03.2012, a refutation of another invention of the friends of the snowman was published in Rossiyskaya Gazeta, retold by the gullible ITAR-TASS and, according to him, other representatives of the second oldest profession:

[...] – All this does not correspond to reality, – said the press center of KemSU. - The university develops scientific directions approved by the government and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The study of the "bigfoot" is not included in the sphere of interests of the research teams of our university. We admit that individual scientists may be interested in these problems, but this is not indicated as a scientific direction in any of the documents. Therefore, the creation of any centers, institutes for the study of "Yeti" at the university is not expected. Unfortunately, Mr. Burtsev has spread false information.

So everyone who was scared with me can also recover quickly.
