What is nano?
On September 4, 2010, the reading of a unique series of popular science lectures "The World of Nanotechnology" begins. You will be able to listen to lectures and ask your questions to lecturers in Moscow, Belgorod, Kazan, Perm, Petrozavodsk and Yekaterinburg. In addition, two-way videoconferencing with the cities of Arkhangelsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Stavropol, Ryazan and Perm will be established for the duration of the lectures. To the video broadcast, organized by the order of RUSNANO publishing house "BINOM. Knowledge Lab" via the Internet, anyone can connect for free.
The main purpose of the series of popular science lectures "The World of Nanotechnology" is to popularize nanotechnology among schoolchildren as a field of future professional activity and to explain the need for in-depth study of basic natural science disciplines. Lectures of the cycle aimed at schoolchildren and teachers of secondary educational institutions will be read until the end of October 2010, after which the materials will be published in the public domain.
