Commercial medicine is increasingly attracting investors

Well-known entrepreneur Dmitry Vasiliev invested 2 billion rubles in a medical clinic

At the end of November 2015, a new private medical center "Clinical Hospital on Yauza" will open in Moscow. Its main investor was Dmitry Vasiliev, First Deputy General Director of a large IT company Krok. 



Krok is one of the ten largest system integrators in the country, its revenue in 2014 amounted to 26.4 billion rubles. Krok serves many large private companies, and also participated in such state IT projects as the creation of GAS "Elections", FSB information systems and ensuring the use. 15 years ago, the Corporation developed and began implementing the first comprehensive medical information system "MedAnalitika" in domestic medical institutions, and then participated in the creation and implementation of the EMIAS infrastructure by order of the Moscow Department of Information Technology.

Dmitry Vasiliev has been working at Krok since its foundation in 1992. The clinical hospital on Yauza is Vasiliev's personal project, for which he attracted investments of about 2 billion rubles independently. "Commercial medicine is one of the most developing industries. But the quality of commercial medical services does not always correlate with their cost. It is important for me to combine high-quality service with a high level of medical, diagnostic, and consulting services. I wanted to create a clinic that would meet my personal requirements, combining not only treatment, but also conducted research activities using innovative technologies," the investor explained to Vademecum.

The co-author of the project and the general director of the clinic was the former head of the international medical center "Petrovsky Gate" Yakov Margolin. The clinic is located in the former office building "Kroka" with an area of 4.5 thousand square meters. m on Volochaevskaya Street in the center of Moscow. 

This is an inpatient polyclinic complex with a Center for Maternity and Reproductive Technologies, departments of radiation diagnostics and gravitational blood surgery (blood purification technique). In addition, the clinic has an oncology department. Among the niche areas in the Hospital on Yauza there is an Arrhythmology Center, which will be headed by Andrey Ardashev, professor, head of the profile department of the medical center of Moscow State University and a visiting specialist of JSC "Medicine". It is also planned to conduct scientific research in the clinic. As Dmitry Vasiliev explained to Vademecum, cellular medicine will become a priority research area.

The Clinical Hospital in Yauza intends to provide IVF and radiation diagnostics services for compulsory medical insurance, as well as work under voluntary medical insurance (VMI) policies. The official launch of the medical center is scheduled for November 24.

Commercial medicine is increasingly attracting investors. So, the TV presenter of the First Channel, doctor and entrepreneur Elena Malysheva plans to open a clinic in Moscow.
