A cult event for everyone interested in technology, science and art - the Geek Picnic Festival will be held in Moscow on June 13-14 and in St. Petersburg on June 20-21. This year it will be dedicated to the theme "Man-machine".

As part of the Geek Picnic festival, a congress will be held, the participants of which will be people who have modified their bodies with bionic prostheses.

Geek Picnic will host an international cyborg conference for the first time: scientists, people with bionic prostheses or enthusiasts who have modified their bodies with the help of technology will discuss the issues of the limit of human capabilities, as well as practical, ethical and philosophical aspects of cyborgization.

Among the guests of the congress will be Sergio Canavero, a surgeon who plans to perform a unique head transplant operation, as well as the owner of the most eccentric bionic prosthesis, British model and singer Victoria Modesta.

As part of the Geek Picnic – 2015 festival, participants will also be able to visit a Robot Park and 3D printing, art installations, more than 50 master classes on robotics and gadget design, a Robo Hand show, play frisbee and participate in debates, "test" a large-scale replica of the Curiosity rover and more.

Geek Picnic is the largest popular science festival and open air in Eastern Europe dedicated to modern technologies, science and creativity. This is a Russian independent project created by enthusiasts who are convinced that the future has already arrived. In just a few years, the festival has managed to become a habitat for educated and really enthusiastic people.
