– Everyone has the right to have children, and prison should not become an obstacle to this. We made three attempts at insemination, only the third time the procedure was completed successfully," commented the head of the clinic, Dr. Salem al-Keizaran.

The baby, who was named Muhannad, was born by Caesarean section in a Nablus hospital on Monday, August 13.

– Heaven has blessed me with a son even in the absence of my husband, this is a real miracle, – the happy mother confessed a few minutes before the operation.

The birth of the boy was welcomed by a group of supporters of the Sieben family and the wives of other Palestinian prisoners, who gave an ovation under the windows of the medical facility.

Representatives of the prison, however, were skeptical about the news of the "miraculous" birth of the heir of one of their prisoners.

– We do not understand how such a transfer could take place. The prisoner has not seen his wife for 15 years, in addition, any meetings on the territory of the prison are carefully guarded," commented the Israeli prison service.
