Women (54%), poorly educated (67%), low-income (54%) and those who do not use the Internet (57%) turned out to be indifferent to science.
Among the fields of science that arouse the greatest interest among Russians are medicine (25%), technical achievements (19%), astronomy and space exploration (16%). In the second echelon of scientific interests are nanotechnology and automotive (7% each), physics and biology (6% each), Internet technology and electronics (5% each), history (4%), chemistry and military developments (3% each). The least attention of respondents is paid to the sciences of agriculture, architecture, construction and transport (1% each).

The third place was shared by Andrei Sakharov and Grigory Perelman (2% each). Korolev, Roshal, Fedorov and Wasserman, who was included in the list for the first time, were also named among popular scientists – 1% each.
