Support for Russian science: a hat in a circle
The first scientific National award "Rosnauka" was established
According to the organizers, "there is no doubt that the importance of creating an innovative economy is realized and felt by the entire Russian society, and citizens want the appearance of domestic competitive high-tech goods, ultramodern cars and industrial equipment. These conversations do not subside, but on the contrary, they intensify every year. Skeptics say that we are hopelessly behind, and practitioners and patriots are trying to create a powerful impulse that can become a catalyst for the Russian economic miracle, the points of support for which will be science, technology and the creative aspirations of society."
The process of collecting and distributing funds is carried out by the Rusnauka Foundation on the website Rosnauka.org in several stages. From July to October, the Foundation will accept applications from applicants, after which a popular vote will start, according to the results of which 10 leaders in each of the nominations will be revealed. The last day of the popular vote will be February 28. Further, the Rosnauka Prize Committee is involved in the work and identifies the winners of each of the nominations until March 22. The award ceremony will be held on a symbolic day for Russian science and technology – April 12.
The People's Award "Rosnauka" carries a deep meaning, the most important message from the society – to Russian scientists. "The time has passed when Russian scientists were not needed by the state, and society ceased to value intelligence, deservedly accepting money and meaningless goods as the meaning of its existence," the organizers of the award note. – And now, through the first national Scientific award "Rosnauka", Russian citizens have decided to personally say thank you to domestic scientists and engineers, having invested their own contribution to the development of science and technology, in a creative creative model of educating young people, in true values that push humanity forward on the path of progress and development of civilization. Russia has made a huge contribution to the cause of world scientific and technological progress, and in view of this, it would not be fair to forget the accomplished victories in the scientific and technical sphere and abandon the future great achievements that we are about to witness.
This project can be called a public initiative, which still has no analogues among scientific awards, which are tied to established stereotypes. "I am sure that our Foundation has touched upon the most important topic – the topic of support and the role of scientists and engineers in the life of Russian society. We believe that the best proof of respect and appreciation for the scientific community will be the establishment of the People's Award. Through this award, the society can show due attention to the scientists, engineers and inventors of the country, to their achievements and projects," said Veniamin Rodnyansky, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation.
Ruslan Tugushev, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation and creator of the largest Russian crowdfunding platform Boomstarter, notes how important the participation of society in projects united by common ideas is. And in modern science and technology, success can depend only on the consolidated actions of scientists and engineers who keep up with the development of the economy and the market, and ideally ahead of them.
