The vice-president of Skolkovo was suspended from work after payments to Ponomarev

KM.ruSenior Vice President of Skolkovo Alexey Beltyukov (left), who recently became a defendant in a criminal case on the transfer of stock money to State Duma Deputy Ilya Ponomarev (right), has been suspended from work.

This was reported on May 7 by Interfax with reference to the vice-president of Skolkovo, Alexander Chernov.

According to him, Beltyukov wrote a corresponding statement before the May holidays, and a temporary resignation is not a dismissal, but a technical procedure.

"From my point of view, the situation is caused by the fact that for the period of investigative actions, Alexey Beltyukov's full performance of duties is difficult," Chernov explained and noted that during the investigation, another employee of the fund will perform Beltyukov's duties.

The criminal case was initiated under Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Embezzlement and embezzlement"). The senior vice president of Skolkovo is still the only person involved in it. According to the investigation, Beltyukov signed contracts with Ponomarev for scientific work and lectures totaling $ 750,000. Investigators suspect that in this way the vice president tried to hide the embezzlement of Skolkovo, for which he himself is responsible.

According to Ponomarev, he has fulfilled all the contracts specified in the contracts, and the fund is well aware of this. In his LiveJournal, he explained that the amount he received also includes "trips around the world, hotel accommodation, communication, printing materials, payment for third-party experts, etc." Ponomarev noted that he received money for more than 50 events. Meanwhile, earlier in the UK stated that the deputy received 300 thousand for ten lectures, and the remaining 450 thousand for research work.

"It is completely incorrect to estimate the cost as "30 thousand per lecture." There were much more events, but the Foundation initially warned me that it was necessary to report a small number of them that took place in an open mode, and each of which witnesses will be able to confirm during the imminent inspections," explained "SR".

Initially, Skolkovo stated that they had no claims against Ponomarev, but later filed a civil lawsuit against him in court. Viktor Vekselberg, the president of the foundation, previously noted that a lawsuit would be filed if it turns out that the deputy unfairly fulfilled the terms of the contract. The "Socialist Revolutionary" himself noted that he exceeded these conditions.
