The popular vote for the best medical science has begun

"Sanity" is a literary award in the field of medicine, conceived to support medical activities, popularize basic biomedical knowledge in society, promote a healthy lifestyle and foster a culture of health.
The organizers of the "Sanity" award announced the beginning of the popular vote. Every Internet user can vote for any book included in the long list of this "literary award in the field of medicine". "Sanity" has three nominations: "Step forward", "Health Recipe" and "Aesculapius".
In the nomination "Step forward", in which books about the history of medicine were nominated, works are still leading:
- "A journey through the world of medicine: from ancient times to the present day" by Mikhail Paltsev and Igor Kvetnoy;
- "Evidence-based medicine. A healthy person's checklist, or what to do while nothing hurts" Roksana Mukharyamova;
- "Crazy medicine. Strange diseases and no less strange methods of treatment in the history of medicine" Thomas Morris.
In the "Health Recipe" (popular books about health and a healthy lifestyle), the most votes were scored:
- "Health medicine versus disease medicine: Another Way. How to get rid of hypertension, diabetes and atherosclerosis" by Alexander Shishonin;
- "I am a woman. All about women's health, contraception, hormones and much more" Olga Belokon;
- "Touches to the portrait" Nazim Shikhverdiyev.
In the nomination "Aesculapius" (memoirs and biographies of doctors), they are currently fighting for the first place:
- "Doctors of Novorossiysk (from a staff doctor to an academician of medicine)" Mikhail Leonov;
- "Between lives. Forensic expert about people and profession" Alexey Reshetun;
- "Unnatural reasons. Notes of the medical examiner: high-profile murders, horrific terrorist attacks and complicated cases" by Richard Shepherd.
The names of the winners will be announced on October 14.
