Doctors have named a dangerous symptom after a meal: 'There is no worse food for the pancreas than this one'

Doctors explained when discomfort in the abdominal area may indicate a dangerous condition, rather than simple overeating or "stress indisposition".

Gastroenterologist Dilyara Lebedeva urged to pay attention to pain in the upper abdomen after eating.

"This symptom may indicate inflammation of the pancreas - pancreatitis," - warned the doctor.

She also noted that in addition to such discomfort with pancreatic problems, weight loss (not always unnecessary) can be observed. The fact is that due to the reduction of fat begins to slow down the production of important hormones.

Some patients indicate nausea, bloating, fever, yellowing of the skin and eyes, dark-colored urine, and skin itching.

"But symptoms alone are not enough for diagnosis, you need tests," - said the specialist, recommending for a more complete picture coprogram, ultrasound of the abdomen, checking the blood content of enzymes (amylase, lipase). If an increase in their level is recorded, then "this means that pancreatitis runs in an acute form".

To prevent further complications, it is necessary to adjust nutrition, replenish deficiencies, get rid of bad habits, writes the doctor.

When it comes to food, it is important to avoid a number of food combinations.

The most dangerous is to combine spicy, fatty and alcohol at the table. According to the doctor, "there is no worse than these products for the pancreas". For example, alcohol, dumplings, spicy mustard or vinegar - all together. This can also include the combination of kebab with hot sauce and alcohol, or pepperoni pizza and beer.

As previously noted candidate of medical sciences, gastroenterologist, hepatologist Sergei Vyalov, most often the pancreas suffers during a feast.

"Here, for example, Friday. Many people at this time drink alcohol, snacking it with a lot of ready-made semi-finished food. As a result, triglyceride levels in the blood rise. Then a person can also smoke - hence a triple blow to the pancreas", - emphasized the expert.

According to him, when there is a problem with the pancreas, there is often pain on the back side. If the pain spills over the entire abdomen, then, most likely, the process is already protracted and destructive processes are proceeding at a higher rate.
