US Special Operations Command to Test Anti-Aging Pill

From 2022, the Command of the Special Operations Forces of the US Armed Forces (SOCOM) will begin testing an experimental dietary supplement, which should prevent age-related changes in soldiers by increasing NAD+ in the body. If the effectiveness is proven, the drug will be able to delay aging.

According to Breaking Defense, the development is being carried out as part of a project to expand human capabilities. His goal is to preserve the health of the fighters and extend the period of their maximum effectiveness. If the results of trials and clinical tests are successful, the drug will become available to the general public.

"The goal is not to create physical qualities that did not exist by nature," explains SOCOM representative and commander of the US Navy Tim Hawkins, "but to extend the readiness to perform tasks by improving the characteristics that usually deteriorate with age."

The tablet is a biologically active additive that increases the content of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+). This compound is often found in anti-aging nootropics.

SOCOM assumes that the additional NAD+ will help prevent age-related injuries in soldiers, improve their physical and mental condition, as well as keep them in shape throughout their service.

If the effectiveness of the experimental pill is proven, it "has the potential to truly delay aging by preventing the spectrum of damage - and this will completely change everything," says Lisa Sanders, head of science and technology at SOCOM.
