And the men didn't know…

Scientists named 6 risk factors for early death

A list of six factors that increase the likelihood of premature death was presented by researchers from the University of Sydney.

As reported in the journal PLoS Medicine, scientists are based on a six-year observation of 230 thousand people over 45 years old. In their lifestyle, experts have identified six habits, each of which individually has a negative impact on health, and the combination increases the risk of early death by six times.

Most of the factors from the new list are well known: smoking, alcohol abuse, lack of physical activity and poor nutrition. To these are added a sedentary lifestyle – more than seven hours a day, as well as a lack or overabundance of sleep – more than nine hours a day.

About a third of deaths are due to diseases caused by diseases caused by a lifestyle in which these habits are present. According to experts, their research has once again proved that visiting gyms several times a week does not help to compensate for the negative effects of harmful addictions and non-compliance with sleep patterns.

– Only behavior that completely excludes any combination of all these factors can improve health and prolong life. The regularity of this statement can be traced in 96 percent of cases from our study, – quotes the Daily Mail Dr. Melody Dean from the University of Sydney.
