Competition "Peptide drugs – drugs of the XXI century": interim results

The charity foundation "Young Hippocrates" and the company "Geropharm" summed up the interim results of the II International Competition of young scientists and specialists "Peptide drugs – drugs of the XXI century".

The competition under the auspices of the Young Hippocrates Foundation started in November 2008. In addition to the main part of the competition, the results of which will be announced in the fall of 2010, the organizers have provided a special subprogram under which grants are provided to participants in the following areas:

• conducting clinical trials on the use of domestic peptide preparations;
• support of initiative research projects on the development of new peptide drugs;
• travel grants and conference support;
• publishing projects.

As part of the grant subprogram in 2009, 8 grants were awarded for conducting clinical trials and 2 grants for supporting research projects. The financing of the supported projects opens on July 15, 2009.

Throughout 2009, the foundation continues accepting applications for grants in open positions (travel and support for participation in conferences, publishing projects), as well as accepting works within the framework of the main program of the competition.
