A $100 million venture fund is being created in Russia to invest in medicine, nano- and biopharmaceuticals
Andrey Pidzhukov, <url>Angelico Ventures, a company specializing in venture investments and capital raising in the field of medicine, is working on the creation of a $100 million venture investment fund.
The Foundation will be registered in Russia. Negotiations are currently underway with the Russian Venture Company, RUSNANO, as well as with investors from other countries, according to the company's press release. The planned size of the fund is $100-500 million. The maximum amount of own investments in one company is $10-50 million.
Angelico company was established on April 17, 2008. In September 2009, an international team of experts was finally formed to invest in medicine, biopharmaceuticals, nanopharmaceuticals and diagnostics.
The geography of the new fund's investments is Russia, the USA and Europe. It is planned to give priority to domestic drugs and technologies in investments, as well as to acquire foreign developments for their further implementation in Russia.
