The third dose of Pfizer reduces the risk of getting on a ventilator by more than 15 times

Scientists from Tel Aviv University (Israel) it was found that the third dose of the Pfizer vaccine reduces the risk of contracting coronavirus by more than 10 times. Revaccination of vulnerable population groups in Israel began in July. After that, doctors analyzed the statistics of infections among 1.1 million patients over 60 years old. They compared two groups – the first had already received a third dose of Pfizer, the second – only two doses of vaccination about six months ago.

According to the report, among those who have already been revaccinated, 313 people fell ill, 32 of them in severe form – against 3,743 and 333 in the second group. 12 days after the administration of the third dose, the risk of getting covid decreased by 11.4 times, the risk of getting sick in severe form decreased by 15.5 times.

Earlier, Pfizer promised to release a COVID-19 drug to the market by the end of this year. It is assumed that it will free hospitals from the influx of patients, since this drug can be treated at home.
