Insert your finger into the USB port

Finnish programmer lives with a flash drive instead of a fingerA young Finnish programmer Jerry Yavala, who lost the ring finger of his left hand in a car accident, uses his two artificial phalanges as a convenient case for a USB memory card.

As Yavala himself tells on his website, instead of the lost finger, he has a removable prosthesis installed in which a memory card is mounted.

"When I use USB, I just disconnect my finger and insert it into the connector, and later, when I finish work, I take it out," explains Yavala.

Now, according to the programmer, several programs are stored on his thumb drive, in particular, Billix, CouchDBX and Ajatus. Yavala plans to improve the prosthesis by making the fingertip removable and installing an RFID tag in it.
