A 63-year-old pensioner from Komi became a student of the Vologda university

Vologda Region NewsThe oldest student of the region from this year will study at the Vologda State Dairy Academy. 63-year-old resident of Komi Viktor Yakovlevich Chizhov will study full-time at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology.

According to him, he is interested in getting new knowledge.

– I have been a pensioner since the last century – since 1997, – jokes an unusual student. – I found out about your educational institution from the Internet and became interested. The main reason for admission is life extension, I am interested in new knowledge and obtaining a specialty.

Before retirement, Viktor Yakovlevich served in the military service as a paramedic for more than twenty years, after graduation he worked in healthcare institutions. He entered the academy after passing an intra-university test.
