A dangerous symptom that occurs a couple years before aggressive cancer has been named

Researchers from the Universities of Surrey and Oxford, having evaluated data from more than 40,000 people, have identified the first warning signs that often precede cancer.

Patients notice dramatic weight loss without much effort about two years before they are diagnosed with the dangerous disease. Such a link has been established between weight loss and pancreatic cancer.

In addition, a number of people shortly before the detection of the disease recorded an increase in blood sugar. At the same time, such patients did not have diabetes.

As noted oncologist and surgeon Ivan Karasev, pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive types of oncology.

"The five-year survival rate for this type is only 5 percent. The disease is poorly diagnosed and even worse treated," the doctor noted, emphasizing that the difficulty with this type of cancer is also in the fact that the pancreas is an organ that is responsible for two vital areas in our body at once: digestion and insulin control.

The oncologist also emphasized that a number of serious studies have revealed the link between a strong immune system and protection against various dangerous diseases.

"At the moment we know for sure that there is an imbalance that leads to lower immunity, causes cancer and even affects our mood," Karasev warned.

Meanwhile, up to 90 percent of diseases can be associated with microbiota imbalance, the doctor noted, citing recent work by researchers.
