Russian Ebola Test

Reagents are officially registered in Russia
to determine the RNA of the Ebola virus

On October 16, 2014, Roszdravnadzor, based on the tests and examination of the quality, effectiveness and safety of a medical device, registered "A set of reagents for the determination of Ebola virus RNA, the Zaire variant (EBOV Zaire), in biological material by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for in vitro diagnostics "AmpliSens® EBOV Zaire-FL" according to TU 9398-232-01897593-2014" produced by the Federal State Budgetary Institution of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor.

The relevant information has been entered into the State Register of Medical Devices and Organizations (Individual Entrepreneurs) engaged in the production and manufacture of Medical Devices.

According to the instructions for the medical device, the set of reagents "AmpliSens® EBOV Zaire-FL" is designed for the qualitative determination of the RNA of the Ebola virus, a variant of Zaire (EBOV Zaire), in biological material obtained from humans (whole blood, saliva, urine, tissue biopsy material). The reagents will be used in clinical laboratory diagnostics to study the biological material of persons with suspected Ebola fever, regardless of the form and presence of the first manifestations of the disease.
