"Smart" clothes for athletes and heart attack patients

В ткань умной одежды от Smartex вотканы сенсоры, регистрирующие информацию о движениях и позе тела, а также о показателях жизненно важных функций организмаSoon sportswear will be able to work as a permanent office of functional diagnostics. "Smart" textiles will be able to monitor the owner's well-being not only during sports, but in everyday life. Current samples of such clothing already exist, and in the near future it will begin to gain a market niche for itself.

The Italian company Smartex develops suits that not only look stylish and protect from the cold. Tiny sensors are embedded in the fabric of such clothes, registering information about the movements and posture of the body, as well as indicators of vital functions of the body – breathing, heart rate, temperature of various parts of the body. The data can be analyzed remotely using the built-in GPRS transmitters.

The most likely consumers of such clothing are professional athletes, people undergoing rehabilitation programs and in need of constant monitoring, primarily patients with cardiovascular diseases, newborns and people suffering from sleep breathing disorders.

In addition to doctors and sports coaches, information about the owner's well-being and his location can be used by the military, rescuers and other special services to ensure the safety of soldiers and rescue groups working in extreme conditions.

Smartex, together with the Spanish company WearTech, plans to soon launch the release of market variants of "smart" clothing, which should quickly find its customers.
