Moscow authorities have reduced tax rates for urban innovative entities

Portal of the Mayor and Government of MoscowThe Moscow government has decided to reduce the tax burden on management companies and residents of the capital's innovative entities: technopolises, technoparks and industrial parks.

The changes affected the rates of taxes on property, profit and land tax.

In accordance with the law "On Scientific, Technical and Innovative Activities in the city of Moscow", the capital provides for the creation of three types of enterprises - technopolises focused on conducting scientific and technical activities, technoparks – scientific and technical activities and small-scale production, industrial parks – production activities. According to the draft law presented at the meeting by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, the head of the Moscow Department of Economic Policy and Development M.Reshetnikov, these enterprises are exempt from corporate property tax. The project also provides for a reduction in the profit rate to 13.5%.

A number of tax benefits are also being introduced in relation to the management organizations of the above entities. Management companies (CC) of technopolises and technoparks are exempt from paying property tax on organizations. A land tax rate of 0.01% of the cadastral value of the land plot is established in their respect. Such a measure, according to M. Reshetnikov, should lead to the fact that the Criminal Code will reduce the cost of rent for residents. The property tax rate of 1.1% is set for the management organizations of industrial parks, the land tax rate will be 0.3% of the cadastral value of the plot, while the base land tax rate in the city is 1.5% of the cadastral value. "These benefits are provided for a period of 10 years from the date of assignment of the resident status of the management company," M. Reshetnikov reported.
