Tea without cholesterol

about the benefits of green teaKM.

Scientists in China have found that the well–known quality of green tea – to remove excess cholesterol from the body - is greatly exaggerated.

Based on 14 clinical studies, it was found that groups of people who regularly took green tea for a period of time from three weeks to three months reduced the level of "bad" cholesterol by only 2%, and thus, there is no significant difference between the control group and the group on which the studies were conducted.

By itself, the therapeutic effect of tea is associated with catechins, which reduce the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine. However, these catechins provided much less positive effects on the body than previously thought. In this regard, the researchers warn that green tea should not be used instead of medicines, and also remind that it can reduce the effectiveness of some drugs when consumed simultaneously.
