The medical device is made from the patient's blood plasma. It stops bleeding, accelerates the process of cell growth and promotes rapid tissue repair. Thanks to this drug, even deep wounds and severe burns heal faster.

Moscow has developed a unique surgical glue for stopping bleeding, treating wounds and burns. It is effective even in cases where there is a threat to the patient's life. Clinical trials of the innovative drug were conducted at the Burdenko Institute of Neurosurgery and the Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology. The drug has already begun to be released.

The glue is made from 200 milliliters of blood plasma of a patient who is waiting for an operation. Plasma is taken two to three days before the intervention. It takes about an hour. The prepared preparation is stored in the refrigerator, so before applying it, you need to warm it up to human body temperature. As a rule, one to 20 milliliters of the product is used during the operation.

After surgery, doctors apply glue to the wound. It fits snugly to the fabrics, covering them with a film. The substance resolves itself in two to eight weeks, and patients do not have to visit the doctor once again.

"When using a unique glue, the process of stopping bleeding is similar to the natural process of blood clotting. The remedy also accelerates the process of cell growth and promotes the restoration of damaged tissue. Thanks to him, deep wounds and severe forms of burns heal faster," said Konstantin Bylov, General director of the medical device developer company, resident of the innovative territorial cluster Zelenograd.

The innovative glue has foreign analogues, but these products are made from plasma from different donors. While the drug created in the capital is obtained directly from the blood plasma of the patient who is undergoing surgery.

The cost of such a tool is about 50 percent lower than the cost of its foreign counterparts.

There are also other medical adhesives on the market, mainly synthetic, but they are intended only for the treatment of external injuries, these drugs are not used during operations on internal organs.

"The new medical glue will become an indispensable assistant for complex surgical operations, and more than 900 successful operations with the use of this medical device have already been carried out in various hospitals of the country," Konstantin Bylov noted.
