Youth Award in the field of nanoindustry

The Supervisory Board of RUSNANO approved the regulation "On the Russian Youth Award in the field of Nanoindustry". According to the document, the prize will be awarded annually, starting in 2009. The prize fund in 2009 will be 300,000 rubles.

The Russian Youth Award in the field of nanoindustry is unique – for the first time in Russia, the award will be awarded to young specialists under the age of 35 who have developed a new nanotechnology product or mastered its production.

To carry out the preliminary selection of applications received for the Award, a special commission will be formed annually, which may include representatives of RUSNANO, as well as representatives of independent organizations. Five applications selected at the pre-selection stage will be submitted for consideration to the members of the Scientific and Technical Council of RUSNANO, according to the results of which two of them will be considered by the Management Board of the Corporation, which will decide on the award of the Prize.

In 2009, the pre-selection stage will be held from September 14 to 18, and the scientific and technical selection stage – from September 21 to 25. The winner of the competitive selection will be determined at a meeting of the RUSNANO Management Board no later than September 29, 2009.

The award ceremony will take place within the framework of the annual International Forum on Nanotechnology on October 6-8, 2009.
