The incidence of COVID-19 in Russia increased by 22.3% during the week

The number of people infected with coronavirus is growing in Russia. Over the past week, 24 people have died from COVID-19.

The incidence of COVID-19 in Russia increased by 22.3% from September 18 to 24 compared to a week earlier, according to data from the operative headquarters. A total of 14,435 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in seven days. Twenty-four people have died.

The incidence is rising in 74 regions, with the number of hospitalizations with coronavirus symptoms increasing in 47 subjects by 18% to 2,328 people. Recovered 10,327 people - 41.9% more than a week earlier.


Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor said it had no plans to introduce restrictive measures due to the increase in coronavirus cases across the country. The agency explained the increase in cases of COVID-19 infection by seasonality.

A number of regions announced the resumption of mask regime, primarily for staff and visitors of medical institutions.
