Regenerative medicine and quality longevity

International Scientific Conference "Regenerative Medicine and Quality longevity"On November 11-12, 2011, Nazarbayev University will host the First International Scientific Conference on Regenerative Medicine and Quality Longevity within the framework of the 20th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Conference will address topical issues of advanced innovative achievements in the field of regenerative medicine, the scientific foundations of quality longevity, as well as the development of international cooperation in the development of innovative research areas in the field of gerontology and biomedicine.

The Conference speaker is Alan Russell, Director of the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine about the conference in Kazakhstan: "The conference on biomedicine is being held in Central Asia for the first time. It is gratifying that it is dedicated to the most rapidly developing field of science as regenerative medicine. After all, it is the development of fundamental and applied areas of biomedicine that is an indicator of the innovative orientation of medical science and healthcare in modern society."

The conference will also be attended by other well-known scientists and specialists from leading research centers and universities from the USA, Japan, the European Union, Korea, China, Russia and Kazakhstan, representatives of government agencies, as well as commercial and public health organizations.

"We hope that the Conference will give a special impetus to the development of biomedical research in Kazakhstan. These developments will contribute to the creation of the fundamental foundations of regenerative medicine, bioengineering, cellular technologies, as well as high-quality longevity. It is important for us to strengthen scientific potential and establish close ties with the international scientific community in the field of innovative biomedical research," says Zhaksybai Zhumadilov, Director General of the Center for Life Sciences of Nazarbayev University.

The conference program includes a plenary session, satellite symposiums, as well as sections on the topics: "Genomics and personalized medicine", "Biomaterials, bioreactors and biomolecules", "Genetics and Molecular Biology", "Regenerative medicine and cellular technologies", "Quality longevity", "Radiation and nuclear Medicine".

The Center was established in December 2010 as a private institution owned by Nazarbayev University.
