Bayer Scholarships for young people

Otto Bayer Foundation Scholarship Programs for studying in Germany

The Bayer Foundation, which supports science and education – Bayer Science and Education – announces the beginning of a new wave of applications for scholarships that allow schoolchildren, students and young professionals from all over the world, including from Russia, to study abroad. The scholarship programs established by the Bayer Science and Education Foundation are designed for an audience of different ages and enable everyone whose professional interest is related to natural sciences and related disciplines to choose a program suitable for their profile.

Over the past six years, 200 people have participated in the Foundation's programs, who have received scholarships totaling more than 997 thousand. Euro. In 2013, the Science and Education Foundation once again announces a competition for scholarships in various educational programs totaling more than 200 thousand Euros.

For final-year university students who would like to implement their research project and study at one of the Universities in Germany, applications for personal scholarships of Otto Bayer, Kurt Hansen and Karl Duzberg are open.:

  • Otto Bayer scholarship – for students studying in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Materials Science;
  • Kurt Hansen scholarship – for students preparing to become teachers of one of the subjects in natural science;
  • Carl Duisberg scholarship – for students of medical faculties.

Students who excel in natural sciences have the opportunity to apply for participation in the international summer camp in Pittsburgh (USA) (Pittsburg, USA) as part of the Bayer Fellowship Program of the Bayer Science and Education Foundation. This year, the international summer camp in Pittsburgh will host the sixth group of schoolchildren showing interest in natural sciences, ecology, and climate change issues. The discussion about the problems of sustainable development during the two-week shift promises to be interesting and productive.

In addition to academic programs, the Bayer Science and Education Foundation offers a Hermann Stranger scholarship for young professionals who completed their studies no more than 2 years ago and are employed in business structures, scientific institutes, and medical institutions. Within the framework of this scholarship program, young professionals have the opportunity to work in Germany for 1 year and gain international professional experience already at the start of their career.
