The Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF) and Bayer have started accepting applications from startups in the digital health direction. Three winning teams will undergo a three-month internship in the coworking of the Moscow office of Bayer under the guidance of a business coach of the FRII. Startups will also be able to apply for selection to the Bayer global accelerator in Berlin and 50 thousand euros as financial support.

Digital health startups developing mobile applications, Internet services, information systems, medical devices or new approaches to the organization of health services will be able to participate in the Bayer program.

Three winners will undergo an educational program – lectures and trainings with industry experts. FRII will allocate an individual tracker (business mentor) who will help startups weekly with planning business processes and evaluating results.

Bayer will also provide teams with a workspace in its Moscow office and everything they need to organize the workflow and prepare for selection to the Grants4Apps global accelerator. This educational program will take place at the headquarters of the pharmaceutical division of the company in Berlin. The winners of Grants4Apps will receive financial support from Bayer in the amount of up to 50 thousand euros.

During the selection process, startups that have proposed ideas applicable to the Russian and international markets, are ready to demonstrate a working prototype of a device or software product, have specialized specialists in the team (business, information technology, medicine) and have registered a legal entity in the form of an LLC will receive an advantage.

The pharmaceutical company noted that if the team "does not meet all the criteria, the selection committee will still consider the proposed ideas if they turn out to be truly innovative and breakthrough."

You can submit applications on the FRII website or through a direct link to registration. Applications are accepted until February 28.

The plans to support startups at the intersection of IT and medicine were announced by FRII and Bayer in December last year. At that time, the German pharmaceutical company cited data according to which over the past few years investments in the global healthcare startup market have grown by almost 200% and reached $6.5 billion.
