President's Awards for Young Innovators

The Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Science, Technology and Education begins accepting documents for the award of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists for 2009.

The Prize of the President of the Russian Federation is awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation:
• for the results of scientific research that has made a significant contribution to the development of natural, technical and humanitarian sciences;
• for the development of samples of new equipment and advanced technologies that ensure the innovative development of the economy and social sphere, as well as strengthening the country's defense capability.

The Prize of the President of the Russian Federation consists of a monetary reward, a diploma, an honorary badge of the laureate of the prize of the President of the Russian Federation and a certificate to it.

Scientists, scientific and pedagogical workers of higher educational institutions, postgraduates and doctoral students, as well as specialists from various sectors of the economy, the social sphere, and the defense industry can be nominated for the award of the President of the Russian Federation.

The age of the person nominated for the award of the President of the Russian Federation should not exceed 35 years on the date of his nomination.

Submissions for the Presidential Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists and the materials attached to them are sent to the Presidential Council for Science, Technology and Education at:

The deadline for accepting documents expires on November 30, 2009.
