The famous TV presenter and "folk healer" Gennady Malakhov did not show up for the filming of the new episodes of the program "Malakhov +", which is being broadcast on Channel One.
The press service of the TV channel told RIA Novosti that they do not know about the whereabouts of the presenter, who did not warn the authorities about his absence.
The press service of the "First" noted that they tried to contact Malakhov in all possible ways, but they have not yet brought results. According to the agency's interlocutors, the TV presenter's colleagues are "extremely concerned" about the situation, but they hope that "everything is fine with Gennady Petrovich and he will appear at work soon."
Journalists of Komsomolskaya Pravda have already joined the search for Gennady Malakhov. According to the newspaper, they tried to call the TV presenter, but all his phones are not responding. His current and past partners in the Malakhov+ program, Vasily Generalov and Elena Proklova, also do not know about Malakhov's whereabouts.
Meanwhile, due to the absence of Malakhov, the program "Malakhov +" was temporarily replaced in the broadcast network by the program "Getting to know parents". On the page of Gennady Malakhov's program on the website of the "First" it is indicated that the program is "on vacation".
Gennady Malakhov's talk show about folk ways of dealing with certain ailments has been broadcast on Channel One in the morning since 2006. Initially, the program was called "Malakhov plus Malakhov" – the co-host of the "folk healer" was his namesake Andrey Malakhov. Soon the program was renamed "Malakhov +", and the actress Elena Proklova became Gennady Malakhov's partner. In the new TV season of 2010, the management of Channel One changed the format of Gennady Malakhov's talk show: Elena Proklova left the project, giving way to Doctor of Medical Sciences Vasily Generalov and family practice doctor Natalia Morozova.
