Miracle cure for Cancer: another fraudsters arrested

Employees of the Department of Economic Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Department of Internal Affairs for the VAO of Moscow have identified the activities of an international organized group whose members are suspected of illegally selling drugs allegedly curing oncological diseases. A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).

It is established that the members of the group on the Internet site www.orion387.com.ua they posted false information about the properties of the drug "Orion". In particular, about conducting clinical trials on humans. When analyzing the documentation, specialists of oncological medical institutions found that laboratory tests were carried out on mice and rats, and the use of the drug "Orion" on humans is illegal.

The cost of one ampoule varied from 30 to 60 thousand US dollars.

Operational search activities began at the end of 2009, after the parents of a 16-year-old girl who died of cancer in December 2007 appealed to the DEB of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. In the Moscow clinic, she underwent a course of chemotherapy, but it was stated that it would not be possible to save her. After that, desperate parents turned to the distributors of the drug "Orion". The first injection was made in Moscow. Then the attackers insisted that the girl be sent to Ukraine, promising to organize the maintenance of the patient in a specialized clinic. After the parents handed over 60 thousand dollars to the attackers and came to Ukraine, they were placed in a rented apartment. In December 2007, the girl was given the 2nd injection with this drug, and 2 days later she died.

A similar case occurred with a 14-year-old girl. In order to pay for the Orion treatment, her parents had to mortgage the house. After three injections with this drug, the girl died.

During the operational search activities, the employees of the DEB of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia conducted a verification purchase. An operative of the Department acted under the guise of a buyer. Upon receipt of 30 thousand euros for 2 ampoules of Orion, the chairman of the Board of the Kievan Rus International Charitable Foundation (Ukraine) and the head of the foundation's representative office in Russia were detained in Moscow.

Operational and investigative actions are continuing. The request of all victims of the actions of the sellers of the drug "Orion" to contact by phone 667-21-73. An electronic appeal can be left on the website of the Department of Economic Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
