Against distributors of the popular "miracle cure" for cancer in Russia
a criminal case has been initiated
It was positioned as an effective means to fight cancer and even viral hepatitis. At the same time, it was not registered in Russia and, in principle, no clinical trials took place.
The investigative bodies of the Main Investigative Department of the RF IC in Moscow opened a criminal case against Ivan Simulidi and several other people. According to investigators, Ivan Simulidi created a criminal organized group and distributed roles among his "colleagues" – for example, "candidate of Medical Sciences" Marina Domracheva and "colonel of the medical service" Sergey Rudenko carried out medical consultations with potential clients.
Information about GA-40 was distributed via the Internet – a separate website and a Vkontakte group were dedicated to the medicine. "For more than twelve years, this drug has been successfully used not only in Georgia, but also in other countries of the world. He not only restored health to many people, he gave life to them," the drug was advertised on the network.– The drug gives a chance to improve the condition and regression of the tumor to patients with advanced tumor processes.
According to the RF IC, the participants of the criminal group misled patients about the pharmacological properties of the drug "GA-40", which was not registered in accordance with the procedure established by law in Russia, and had not passed preclinical and clinical studies as a drug intended for the treatment of cancer, hepatitis, and other serious diseases.
"At the same time, the pharmacological activity of this drug according to the indications indicated in the attached instructions for medical use has not been clinically proven," the press service of the IC notes. – The use of the drug "GA-40" for medical purposes could harm the health and life of patients."
For the last 2 weeks (from March 17 to March 31), the drug "GA-40" was sold for a total of 105 thousand rubles. One bottle of the product costs 7.5 thousand rubles. During the searches, the investigators seized the specified drug for more than 1.5 million rubles.
It should be noted that the GA-40 website published a diploma from the 8th International Biotechnology Forum-exhibition Rosbiotech-2014, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, etc. Indeed, the drug was presented at the exhibition as an immunotherapeutic therapeutic drug with anti-carcinogenic properties, its presentation was accompanied by a report on "application plant polypeptides in modern pharmacology".
In the middle of last year, a complaint was filed with the FAS about the drug "GA-40" – users of the social network Facebook were dissatisfied with the intrusive advertising of the drug GA-4.
