Ahead – Japanese old ladies

Japanese women set a record of longevityAlexey Timoshenko, GZT.RU

The Ministry of Health of Japan has presented the most recent data on the average life expectancy of residents of the country. Japanese women live an average of 86 years – which is a world record today.

Men in Japan, as AFP reports, live noticeably less than women. Their life expectancy, according to doctors, is on average about 79.3 years. Experts associate the longevity of the Japanese with a healthy diet, a developed health care system and an active lifestyle – but at the same time, demographers are concerned about the growing share of pensioners.

The low birth rate and high life expectancy lead to the fact that every year there will be more and more pensioners per working Japanese. How to deal with this problem is not yet clear.
