Rusnano becomes a joint-stock company

The ex-state Corporation has sent an application for entry into the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE) about its reorganization. This is reported by the newspaper Vedomosti with reference to Interfax.

As a result of the reorganization, all rights and obligations of the state corporation will be transferred to the new company in full. The state will own a 100% stake in the company and fully control its activities. The new form should simplify the work with venture investments and increase the efficiency of their use. Rusnano will also change the size of its authorized capital, experts believe – in a big way.

The reorganization of Rusnano was initiated as part of the company's liquidation of state corporations in 2009. President Dmitry Medvedev called this form generally unpromising. The government approved the decision on the reorganization of Rusnano on December 17, 2010, and the law on the corporatization of the state corporation was adopted in July 2010. The structure subordinate to Anatoly Chubais was supposed to be among the first to be corporatized together with Avtodor before the end of last year.
