Guess what it is: six wings and eight legs?

KFC restaurant chain Sues Competitors over Rumors of Eight-legged chickens

Khartya’97KFC has filed a lawsuit against three Chinese companies that, according to the company, contributed to the spread of false rumors about its products.

The information that does not correspond to reality, they say in KFC, was distributed through the accounts of Chinese companies in social networks, the BBC Russian service reports (as well as hundreds of news agencies around the world, about the same as in the ABC News note KFC Sues Chinese Companies for Online Rumors About Its Food – VM).

In a statement published on Monday on the website of the Chinese division of the fast food chain, it is said that one of such rumors was the statement that the chickens whose meat is used for cooking are genetically modified - they have six wings and eight legs.

KFC demands compensation for the damage caused to the company by these rumors in the amount of 1.5 million yuan (242 thousand dollars) and an apology from each of their three companies.

The court accepted the claim for consideration.

Two years ago, the Chinese authorities announced the launch of a campaign to combat the negative presentation of information and what they characterize as the spread of rumors on the Internet. Critics of the ruling regime said that the actions of the authorities are aimed at suppressing any criticism of the Communist Party.

(I wonder what the Chinese guy says at the end of this horror movie, clearly a scientist: is he talking about genetic engineering and horse doses of hormones, or does he explain that this is utter nonsense? – VM.)
